Plain English: Use Task Ally for your own task management. Don't abuse it. We provide it as-is and may need to make changes. You can leave any time.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Task Ally, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
Task Ally reads mail and meeting recordings you connect, uses AI to extract action items, and presents them as a to-do list. The service is offered free for personal use during this early phase.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.
- One account per person. We may suspend duplicate or automated accounts.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Connect a mailbox you aren't authorized to read.
- Upload meeting recordings you don't have rights to share.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service.
- Use the service to send spam or violate anyone's rights.
- Submit content that's unlawful, harassing, or contains malware.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you upload or that we extract from your mail. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you. We don't use your content to train models or share it with third parties beyond the subprocessors named in our privacy policy.
6. Third-party services
Connecting Gmail, Outlook, or another mailbox is governed by that provider's terms in addition to ours. Task Ally uses Anthropic's Claude API to extract tasks and AWS Transcribe to turn meeting recordings into text. Your use of the service is also subject to those providers' applicable terms when their services are involved.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Task Ally reliable but offer no uptime guarantee or SLA while the product is free. Sync intervals, model behavior, and feature scope may change as we improve the product.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. AI-extracted tasks may be incorrect or incomplete; you remain responsible for verifying the action items you act on. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Task Ally and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months — which, for free accounts, is zero.
10. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a risk to other users or the service. If we shut down, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material updates will be announced in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction the operating entity is registered in, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in that jurisdiction's competent courts.
